Chân ngã tinh thần (Purusha, 223). Cái ngã được hiện thể. Từ này có nghĩa đen là “Người ở trong thành phố”—tức là ở trong cơ thể. Nó do từ Bắc Phạn “Pura” nghĩa là thành phố hay cơ thể, và “usha” phát sinh từ động từ “vas,” là ở.
Purusha. The spiritual self. The embodied self. The word literally means “The dweller in the city”—that is, in the body. It is derived from the Sanskrit “pura” which means city or body, and “usha” a derivative of the verb “vas,” to dwell.
Tứ thể hạ (Quaternary, 223). Phàm ngã tứ phân, hay là con người, trong tam giới. Vấn đề này có nhiều cách phân chia, nhưng có lẽ cách tốt nhất cho mục đích của chúng ta là kể ra bốn phần này như sau:
Quaternary. The fourfold lower self, or man, in the three worlds. There are various divisions of this, but perhaps for our purpose the best is to enumerate the four as follows:
1. Hạ trí.
1. Lower mind.
2. Thể tình cảm hay cảm dục.
2. Emotional or kamic body.
3. Sinh lực, hay Nguyên khí Sự sống.
3. Prana, or the Life Principle.
4. Thể dĩ thái, hay là phần cao nhất của thể hồng trần nhị phân.
4. The etheric body, or the highest division of the twofold physical body.
Thiên vương (Raja Lord, 223). Từ “Raja” chỉ có nghĩa là Vua hay Ông Hoàng; từ này đã được áp dụng cho các đại thiên thần hay những Đấng phú linh cho bảy cảnh giới. Đây là các đại thiên thần là tổng thể và là sự thông tuệ chế ngự một cảnh giới.
Raja Lord. The word “Raja” simply means King or Prince; the word has been applied to those great angels or entities who ensoul the seven planes. These are great devas who are the sumtotal and the controlling intelligence of a plane.
Yoga Chúa (Raja Yoga, 223). Hệ thống thực sự để phát triển các quyền năng thần thông và tinh thần, và hợp nhất với Chân ngã hay Chân nhân của mỗi người. Nó gồm việc tập luyện, điều hòa, và tập trung tư tưởng.
Raja Yoga. The true system of developing psychic and spiritual powers and union with one's higher self or the Ego. It involves the exercise, regulation, and concentration of thought.
Cung (Ray, 223). Một trong bảy dòng mãnh lực của Thượng Đế; bảy nguồn ánh sáng vĩ đại. Mỗi nguồn sáng là hiện thể của một Đấng vũ trụ vĩ đại.
Ray. One of the seven streams of force of the Logos; the seven great lights. Each of them is the embodiment of a great cosmic entity.
